I don't think we have any active posters in your area. Earl Kann recently recommended a cool website that may help you...

the prob with the tranny is when u put it in gear it slips but it will shift through the gears once u get speed up even if u start out in low 1 it slips then when u shift it up to low 2 u can feel it shift but still slips even when u shift it on up into drive. but now when u put it in rev it gos just fine no prob at all just hard to drive around town in rev all day any ideas of what it could be have already pulled valve body and cleaned it was thinking maybe it could be the solenoid on the valve body

Are you sure you have enough trans fluid?
If you check it in Park instead of neutral you may be getting an over
estimate and be a couple of quarts low.

I've heard about a difference when checking in Park vs Neutral. I didn't realize it was a significant difference. I was going to suggest checking the fluid level.

I think fluid level too. It would also be a great idea to do a filter change too. It may not be letting enough fluid in or may be loose and it's sucking air.

Dodge auto trans do not move fluid in park (unless modifed to do so). If you have not driven your truck in a few days you should always let it warm up in neutral. That will get the pump pushing fluid through the trans to keep it lubed and happy.
