My 1997 dodge 318 has had a misfire since i bought it. I have replaced spark plugs, wires, upstream o2 sensor,
and the fuel injectors, and it keeps coming up as a cylinder 5 misfire. I checked to see if it gets spark and it does.
Does that mean i have a burnt valve? how can i fix it?

I think you're right, burnt exhaust valve.

Is there a back fire through the carb or exhaust?

Can you do a compression test?

How old is the timing chain?
If there is 100.000 miles on the engine you should skip the valve job
and have the engine rebuilt.
