Ramcharger pump/sending unit
« on: December 05, 2010, 09:40:17 PM »
Bought a 90 Ramcharger for the wife to wheel in, fuel injected 5.9. had a bad fuel leak coming from top of tank, ended up being a crack in the plastic nipple coming out of sending unit / pump. This is no longer available through chrysler, and the aftermarkets don't look the same. This one is part# 4203882 which is superceded with part # 5217863, part # 05407 is also on top of unit. Can anyone help me out? technically I only need the plastic lid to the assembly, but i'll take whatever I can get.   Thanks!

I thought it was bad getting parts for my '74.
You wouldn't think it would be hard for a '90!
I wish I could help.
About the only thing I could suggest is do what I do... learn to manufacturer and adapt.

You might get lucky at a local junkyard...

I found a post online where they used a module from an 88-90 TBI Dakota, and plugged the vent line on the new module using a 3/4" copper plug and hose clamp.

I remember seeing a post for an RC converted to propane. I couldn't find it again, and can't remember what year it was or where it was located. It might be worth an "RC propane conversion" google search to see if anybody in PA has done it?
