My lugnuts require more torque than Hondas produce

« Reply #20 on: March 31, 2009, 03:20:47 PM »

I'll have to check it out, but I don't think all of the rally's are in Iowa. I believe it was the same group, but there was a big gathering several hours North of me in California.

I may be weird, but I enjoy visiting this thread often. Great pics and a great progress.

I'm glad to hear that a 440 is in the big picture project plan. Thanks,

John
Yeah. I've heard there are rally's at different locations too. When it gets closer we'll do some more investigation.
We would be ready by 2010 for sure. Heck. I'm ready now!
And I wouldn't mind driving cross country.
Love the road trips!

Well he's back at it.
Here's some pics of him squeezing my old stroker 440 into the frame rails.
He wants to weight the front end to determine the correct spring pad location, engine height and mounting.
Mucho trial and error...

At this rate, Barrett shouldn't have any problem making the 2010 rally (Next June right?)! As long as the side jobs are still coming in!

Since he's got the 440 in the '41 now, is he still going to swap the 360 in his 71 before he sells it?

I'd be wise to "get around" to selling my '65 Chevy to fund one of my other projects. Fortunately, I shouldn't have to spend much more money to have the Ram Charger and Grand Cherokee legal. I just need to order another $100 in parts to repair the fuel injector adaptors/wiring. I'm sure there will be more, but I'm crossing my fingers I'm wrong.

At this rate, I'm hoping to make the 2010 Rally!   icon_biggrin (Stupid insurance company).

I think he's keeping the 360, that's in the '71, with it when he sells. It's a really nice one. (It has a Hughes cam in it icon_jokercolor) And rather fool with changing it out with a tired one, he'll probably just junk the older 360.

He's been working on the front spring mounts lately.
I want to thank Bill here for looking at what Barrett's been doing. And for reassurance. It's always good to get advice and ideas from all kinds of resources. So its able to save time from trail and error.
Thanks for input Bill!

Thanks for the update!

I spent some time out in the garage today. I waited until the afternoon when it cooled down a bit. Unfortunately, my neighbor went and grabbed her camera to show me all 500 pictures from her trip to Brazil! I was able to get the fuel injectors installed, but couldn't see well enough to double check all of the electrical connections and install the battery. I may go out and fire it up in the morning.
